Description:
This course counts toward the following majors: Biotechnology Management This course examines the evolving law and regulation surrounding the life science sector, particularly industries where biotech-based products are developing the most rapidly: pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, medical devices, chemicals, agriculture, food processing, energy, mineral recovery and waste treatment. This interdisciplinary course will also examine government involvement through regulatory agencies, Congress, and the courts, as well as private sector interactions. Real product and industry examples are used throughout the course.
